Dealing with Bad Weather

If the weather is bad, telco will try to observe the scheduled request but it will fail. As each request fails, the error will be logged in the Log table in the database. Since the observing schedule is generated using insgen import, it delays all requests that have failed by one hour and selects those that have not done so. Ultimately there will be no more targets that are accessible and that have not failed. When there are no more targets to observe, the observatory will hibernate for about twelve hours and the whole cycle will repeat again.

In periods of bad weather you might want to execute:

tin daemon=0
To stop the observing daemon. Remember to turn it back on though.
