NAME

apparent - changes astrometric positions to apparent positions

SYNOPSIS

apparent mode=[astrometric |geometric | topocentric | observed ] [cio] [nodut] [force] [iso=yyyy-mm-ddTHH:MM:SSZ] [high] [decimal] [site=] [mets]
apparent [mode= .. any of the modes]

DESCRIPTION

This program converts coordinate strings arriving in stdin similar to
ra=07:09:17.6 dec=+23:13:31 mag=14.0 name=Edith
Where the default mode is NULL.

The corrections that are applied depend upon the mode requested. The output epoch will be the current time unless overridden by the iso opton.

OPTIONS

iso= changes the output epoch.

site= changes site if needed from server.

mets - uses Mets service instead of STP.

high - prints out more significant figures.

nodut - turns off Delta UT correction.

decimal - prints out decimal degrees.

baby - prints out HMS

force - forces + in front of declination

cio - changes the basis of the geometric and topocentric apparent positions from the equinox of the epoch to CIRS based.
