NAME
acquire - finds the brightest star in a guide star and centers telescope using the
guide camera.
SYNOPSIS
acquire [tv] [nooffset] [logid=]
DESCRIPTION
acquire is a shell script which tries to put the guide star in the
center of the field.
- takes a 10 second guider image
- searches for brightest star in field
- if none bright enough, aborts with non-zero exit code
- calculates offset to star
- offsets telescope
OPTIONS
tv - shows the acquire image on an X-windows display.
nooffset - does all the above steps, but does not offset the
telescope.
logid= if specified, then a copy of the file
acquire.fits is saved as acquire.$logid.fits.
