pfits - to print out image files

SYNOPSIS

pfits fname [box=] [val=]

DESCRIPTION

This routine prints out IN ASCII the numerical values of the file `fname'. The ROWS and COLUMNS are printed as rows and columns to the the screen. The output can be redirected to a file by the redirection symbol >.

If a box is specified, only the values within the box are printed.

Note if the data file (or box) has a large number of columns the output will be very wide and look funny.

The default width of the field in which to print each data value is 5 unless changed by the width= option. If val is specified the row and columns of all the points with the specified value are printed out.
