After a detailed meeting, we have plans going forward for addressing the slit error that will occur during some nights:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Add better rslit.C and tserver.C logging regarding the slit status. Also, implement method for accessing drive display data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Work with Larry and team to clean the slip rings using methods available for the 2.3m and 4m observatories.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Work with Larry and team to clean the slit tracks and re-grease the wheels.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Kevin (as soon as mid-March) will disconnect the dropleaf relay to one of the 8 slip rings and connect a slit relay to that slip ring, allowing remote access similar to “tx power dome=off”.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Once this is all done, we can get the repairs on the mirror support regulators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
