weatherd [debug] [sleep=]weatherd, the weather daemon, reads the Vaisala weather station using the rctel mets command and puts the entries into the weather database (See Figure 7.2). The station is read every 1790 seconds unless changed by the sleep option. Note: the windspeed is the peak (during 10 minutes) value.
It also sends a taux command and the cloud value is entered into the database. A temps command exists to measure the telescope sensors but they are not currently logged in the database but the values can be retrieved from the observatory log files.
Usually this daemon is started via the startnet script.
