The dome shutter is composed of two parts. The main part which goes up and over the top and the "dropleaf". The sequence is discussed in great detail in the MM:18-14 Midway is closer to closed and tells when dropleaf can be activated. There is a maintenance panel shown on SCH-4033-1.
